Lots to do around Boston and see inga s you have a year you have plenty of time to do it

There are lots of touristy/historic things to see in Boston itself, outside the city you could in no particular order

    1. Go to Newport RI
    2. Cape Cod
    3. Skiing in New Hampshire/Vermont/Maine
    4. Hiking in New Hampshire/Vermont/Maine
    5. Foliage watching in New Hampshire/Vermont/Maine in Sept/Oct
    6. Go to New York for a weekend (a few times)
    7. Go to Montreal, Canada for a weekend (4-5 hr drive)
    8. Golf, loads of public courses
    9. Go to a Red Sox (baseball) game (April to Oct)
    10. Go to a Celtics (basketball) game (Oct to April)
    11. Go to a Bruins (Ice Hockey) game (Oct April)
12 Go to a Patriots (American football) game (Sept - Dec)
    13. Go to Salem (famous for the witch trials) around Halloween
    14. Go outlet shopping in Wrentham, MA, or North Conway, NH or Kittery, ME
15 Go to Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun casinos in CT (a few hours drive)
    16. Go to Six Flags New England theme park in Springfield (1 hr drive)

    and much much more......

If you are over 21 it might be a good idea to get a Mass Liquor ID which will be accepted at all bars etc for purchase of alcohol, it saves you having to bring your passport every time you are going out.

where are you going to be studying ?
