i think its complete b.s ea have released tiger woods 10 in the usa 5 weeks before the e.u and austrailia, even my american online buddys think its bull.

heres a few reasons this is crap.
    1. a months advantage getting use to the game.
    2. you can buy everything you need ie max stats, clubs ,courses
    on us psn store.
3.when we go online pals we played with on a level playing field on 09
will now be lvl 16 to 22 .

can anyone shed any light on why.

Games are often released earlier in the US than in Europe, there's no particular reason why. Same way movies are usually released earlier in the US.

It depends on what game it is. Golf is more popular in America so it is released earlier, like NFL, NHL and NBA. Games like Fifa are released in Europe first because the game is more popular.

Also, instead of releasing in all continents and getting a big burst of income, the money has a strong flow for a couple of months.

I don't think it matters to them whether they get the money over a sgort space or long space, at any rate I'd say in Businness terms you would be looking to get the money ASAP, no advantage to getting it over a longer period.

I'd say it's to do with distribution, bare in mind the world is a big place and by releasing a game in all regions on the same day your going to need a LOT more finished units, so I'd say it's a production issue!

I always thought games took longer to be released in Europe because they have to be localised for at least 3 or 4 different languages.

I would argue a consistently popular game can demand a higher RRP for longer than one that starts really strong but fades quickly.

LBP is where my mind immediately goes for an example.

I think the main reason is that they just sell the game with English/America Language in the USA...its takes longer to translate the game for us Europeans

Ah yeah, I phrased it wronf, I meant that there was no special reason in that Tiger Woods was released earlier in the US, that it was probably for the usual reasons games are released earlier in the US.
