Fertilizer Spreader repairs

I have a Cosmo fertilizer spreader. Its a wagtail and has a vicon pendulum spreading system. A bearing in the internal workings went a few weeks ago and it damaged the internal shaft. I took it off, brought it to an engineering company who built up the shaft to hold the bearing using a CNC machine. The centre of the shaft is hollow and the PTO spline is supposed to push through this easily as you push on the bearing. Had it in a hydraulic press yesterday and couldn't get the splined shaft to go through it - applied a little pressure to it and the flywheel that the shaft is attached to completely shattered. The engineering company that relined the shaft obviously heated it when welding it and it got smaller as well as weakened the cast iron flywheel.

Anyway, I need to get a new or second hand flywheel for it. It is vicon part number VN19420415. Any recommendations for a supplier in the North West/Midlands? Other than that would anyone know where I might get a pendulum spreader for parts ?? Have tried several scrap yards across the country.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I was looking at a tractor in Abbey Nenagh about 6 or 8 months ago & noticed a large number of secondhand spreaders in various state of repair.
TBH I didn't take much notice as I had no interest on the day.
I presume the Abbey wagtail also uses the vicon gearbox. I think Sean Kinnane is the person you need to ask. (could be wrong in this)

I rarely pass through Nenagh now since the by pass was opened but if you want me to have a look, I have a run to roscrea some day next week & it wouldn't any problem to come home via nenagh.

Its ok, I don't want to put you to that sort of trouble. I'll give them a ring to see if they have anything to suit me.

    Thanks for the advice :)
