    Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone knows what the best foods or the best approach is to help someone put on weight?

A member of my family desperately needs to put on weight as she's lost alot of weight (that she didn't really have much of to lose in the first place) since coming out of hospital. She's now under 7stone in weight (she's about 5ft4) and can't have anything with vitamin K she also needs to stick to relatively high fiber food as she has diverticulitus.

I'd say she's lost about 4lbs in the last month.

Any tips would be hugely appreciated.
    Thanks
    C.

She should see a dietitian for advice - I could recommend lots of healthy high calorie foods to you, but I don't know if they contain vitamin k, or enough fibre. Get professional advice!

i had something similar but not as drastic after a stint in hospital and i had a dietician to contact. ring the hospital and ask to speak to one.
i remember i had to drink complan (i think thats what it was called), you can pick it up in the chemist for a few euro.
