hi, im going to be buying a laptop soon. want it to be decent, able to play games and all that, but not terribly expensive. <€750 preferably.

just wondering what boards thinks about irish laptop sites?

opinions on laptopsdirect , dabs , komplett , and any sites that would be recommendable?

wouldnt mind selecting the individual components either!

    Thanks!

Ive not bought a laptop from Komplett, but ive bought tonnes of other stuff from them, no problems thus far. Delivery is usually very quick. About the only 'gaming' laptops I can see on their site are the MSI range, which actually are very decent value usually (can't comment on build quality yet).

If I had €750 for a gaming laptop, i'd grab an Asus G50VT-X1 (refurb) from an American ebay seller. You can get them for around €520. €600 with shipping and ~€700 with vat. That's a 9800M GS (proper 256-bit card), you won't do better for the money in terms of gaming power. Though obviously its a more risky transaction buying from abroad etc.
