    Hi All,

I bought a Ihome in the US and when I try to use the radio at home it does work. Does anyone have this problem with their Ihome?

    Regards
    Tony

When you say it doesn't work - what exactly is (not) happening?

It just doesnt pick up anything at all, there isnt even a slight hiss of a station on it.

I remember reading something about a difference in US and European FM tuners. Something about the increments which the tuner searches through.

Can you tune to the exact frequency manually (say, phantom 105.2) and hear anything? This might work rather that an auto search.

The lads in Hobby Radio might have an answer.

The FM spectrum is the same bandwidth in Ireland as the US, ie 88.1MHz-107.9MHz but in the case of the US it increments in 0.2Mhz steps as they have millions of stations

You need to manually tune each station and it should work. I also bought an iHome in the US but have not used the radio yet, but ill try it tonight.

    Hope that helps
