    Hi Guys,

I am wondering if someone can help me please. Im currently looking to buy my 1st new set of clubs and im stuck in a dilemma and im trying to get some info really. Im looking to buy a complete set of Wilsons golf clubs, 1st i like them and 2nd i have financial restrictions like everyone else! I want the deep reds, however the guy in mcgurks has informed me that wilson dont do the deep reds +1 inch in the shafts. Although ive done the measurements etc...with my reslut being a regular length shaft, i feel much more comfortable with the +1 inch. does anybody know if these can be found in a +1 or how i would go about getting them done and how much it would cost.

alternatively i can buy the ultras comp, or the ultra 1200 MOI which i really like aswell and these are available in +1 and are quite cheap on the internet on onlinegolf.co.uk which deliver to ireland. unfortunately these dont sell the deep reds as far as i can see.

all the reviews on the deep reds say they are fantastic for the price and id really prefer to have these over the other 2 sets if possible.

any thoughts? any help would be greatly appreciated.

If your measurements show that you should use a regular length shaft then why not stick with that?

I got a set of callaways BB's a few years ago hit a few balls at the range bought them stock lenght and got fitted correctly at a pro shop, some driving ranges will also help you, im 6ft 4 so need an extra inch on them, i didnt really read your post fully, if your anyway over 6ft you would need def need extra length to not hunch over

    i'm 6' 1" i had +1" irons when i started had em for 1st 2 years playing
they were fine but just bought them cause the felt good

changed 2 yrs later to standards and improved a lot they just suited so much better

unless your 6 foot 2 or 3 i'd advise you to stick to the standards

they will also be easier to sell on imo

    thanks lads,

I was hitting mizuno MX-19s today in the driving range with +1 shaft and they just feel so much better( btw an excellent set of irons, although distance is a bit shorter than normal). Im 6ft 1" by the way. in fairness i was hitting regular shaft length clubs yesterday and they were ok aswell, but when im wearing my golf shoes they feel too small. I know to some people that might sound quite silly but its the truth. Im going to hit a few more sets of clubs in the nxt week, luckily enough im borrowing a set of regular length deep reds this week so i should know by then what they are like

I bought the Wilson MOI Complete Package from http://www.golfonline.co.uk/wilson-golf/golf-packages-golf-sets/m-25-cp-30?prod_filter=true&pf_10=0&pf_11=0&pf_12=0&x=38&y=5 two weeks ago and am very happy with them. The grips are better than I was expacting and the weighting of the irons feels spot on for me. I'm a complete noobie to golf and have only played 3 rounds so far. I still can't use the driver or 3 wood off the tee but I'll get there. Great set. Ordered on a Sunday evening and was delivered on a Wed morning. Superb service.

aaf, that MOI set, i was looking to buy from same company golfonline, just wondering, do u have to pay for any extras when they deliver(tax etc..) and how much delivery, considering the weight?

Delivery is £9.95 (sterling). I bought a few items incl a push trolley and weight came in at 30kg but delivery is still only £9.95. No extra charges at all. Very impressed.
