Juicy juicy July - Efdemin upstairs and Legowelt downstairs. Two guests who have been over before, Legowelt several times and Efdemin just the once, and two of our favourite artists. Legowelt, the musical genius continues rocking out the new sounds under the new names, the latest of which is the devastating Vatos Locos album under the Legowelt name on Creme. Den Haag's very own Jackmaster has never failed to impress, as the man like Polarius jams his way through a hybrid selection of Hague electro(nix) meet Detroit meets Chicago jak traxxx. Recently Mr. Wolfers has been busy with his outstanding Strangelife label, releasing various experimental and soundtrack albums under numerous aliases such as Franz Falckenhaus, Phalangius, and Twilight Moose. But expect Legowelt to jack the house down with his devastating Acid traxx on the stage of the Twisted Pepper. Valve you have been warned!

The past 12 months have been highly productive ones for Phillip Sollmann a.k.a Efdemin and he for sure is one reason that Dial Records received massive attention. After releasing his first (self titled) full-length album on Dial Records in May 2007 and putting out a bunch of remixes for Dessous, Bpitch Control, Morris Audio, Aus! Or Brut!, Efdemin was constantly behind the decks somewhere presenting his idea of the music with his ability to blend between house, minimal and techno. Where Efdemin's earlier production work was rather focused on slow, abstract house in the vein of Theo Parrish, he has slowly turned to a more functional approach without losing his special sense for deepness. Efdemin's sound design has become a lot more unobscured and differentiated. And he knows how to adjust old school influences to contemporary listening habits. His unique DJ-Style with its eclectic mix of strict but deeply detailed tracks provide a continual sense of excitement and create a kind of graze over the night. Efdemin is currently working on new material for his next album to be released on DIAL records early 2010 Some of the latest tracks he has been working on include the following killer releases:

Hatikvah - Modern Times (Efdemin Rmx) Baalsaal
Efdemin - Acid Bells (Martyn Rmx) Curle metisse
Depeche Mode - Corrupt (Efdemin Rmx) Mute
Efdemin - Hope (Phantasma Vol. 1) DNP
Simon Flower - Phosphenes (Efdemin Rmx), Pokerflat
Sebo K - Moved (Efdemin Rmx) Mobilee

And if that wasn't enough we have a supporting cast that Michael Jackson would die for in the form of Electric Shock residents Barry Donovan and Dan McElligott.

    Hey,

Next Saturday sees us return to both floors of The Twisted Pepper for a summer shock special. On the stage you can catch Legowelt jacking it up like a Quick fit fitter on some of Poland's finest as he works those machines as if they are going out of fashion. While the basement will be havin' it large to the elegant and sophisticated sounds of Efdemin. We have three double passes to giveaway:

Legowelt once studied comedy at University. What is his favourite British sitcom?

    B] Curry and Chips
E] Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em
T] In Sickness and in Health
    T] Terry and June
    Y] On The Buses

    PM Answers by Friday please.

    Cheers

    E S and Son
