    Hi, sorry if this is just a repeat of any previous threads, but i NEED help!!!my boyfriends bday is coming up and he wants to go away for the weekend somewhere in Ireland.
    We'l most likely be staying in a B&B as funds are tight and i'd say he'l want to go somewhere by a river/lake with great scenery etc Has anyone got any recomendations?!(preferably not galway or clare as we'v bin to both places recently)has anyone stayed in a fantastic b&b lately they'd recomend?

    Killarney it is so.

    You will be spoilt for choice in Killarney.

    Try this boutique hotel right next to the river and within walking distance of Killarney town.

    I have stayed in a lot of hotels in Killarney. This is a nice one and the prices actually reflect the current economic state of the country and not the "lets ride the Americans wallets just a little bit longer" the way a lot of hotels in the region are.

    If you get a rear facing room you get a view like this.

    That photo was taken from the Penthouse of the Brehon hotel which if you are on a budget then AVOID.
