    no bigger than 1.2

    ive been looking at

    clio's
    polo's
    206's
    punto

How about a Seat Ibiza - same engine as a polo but cheaper to buy.

    Fiesta 1.25 Zetec.

Most of the ones listed are decent but the Fiesta really is a mighty yoke for the money

66mpg is unrealistic. Think nearer 45mpg.

No chance of 66mpg in a petrol car anyway, might have half a shot at it in a 1.2 to 1.4 diesel maybe.

Started with a Punto, great car for the money, cheap to run and reliable, never had a problem in 6 years of owning one. Best I managed was 52mpg (indicated).

Mrs got a 00 clio last year, 85,000miles on the clock.

Timing belt was done at 65k, plus engine sensor replaced.

Fine little car, great on juice, plenty of room inside, big boot for

a small car, so if your gonna get a car around 00 expect some work

to be done on it, be it timing belt or clutch.
