    Hi All,

We just made a new raised flower bed and have the layer of grass we took out and some soil attached to the grass that came up with it (was too much effort to try claim it back for the new bed!)

Anyone have any suggestions as to what i can do with the leftover soil/grass?

    thanks :)

Brown bin or Civic waste centre are your best bets.

Put it at the bottom of the raised flowerbed:p. It would have broken down very quickly.

the ideal is when digging a new bed is turn over the grass topped sod grass facing down into the bed eg when u start lift the first sode out on to the side, turn the next sod u cut back into the hole you have made and continue this down to the end of the bed.

If you have sods already cut and left aside put them in a corner and cover them with plactic or cardboard they weill die off over the summer and when weeds/grass has all died off you can dig soil back into bed
