Hey, just a quick question about flights...
I'm travelling to America with BMI, but we're flying from dublin to heathrow, then 3 hours stop off and then heathrow to LAX. Do we need to check in at Dublin airport 3 hours before, or 2? Do they do all the America security checks in Dublin or Heathrow? I'd rather go to Dublin airport 3 hours before just to be safe, but my friend says because it's a domestic flight we only have to be there 2 hours in advance.
    Anyone any experience of this?

You can check in at Dublin at a reasonable time depending on what day or time of day you are flying.

You do not do American immigration in Dublin as you are flying to London. You do not do it in London either because they(British) do not have the US Immigration checks like Dublin and Shannon. You will do the immigration on arrival in the US.

Ensure you tell BMI to check your baggage right through to your final destination. Ask BMI if they can give you your boarding cards for the LHR - USA Route.
