    Battered Lions lose injured props

The British and Irish Lions have lost both props for the third and final Test against South Africa next weekend.
Gethin Jenkins and Adam Jones were both injured in the 28-25 second-Test defeat and had operations on Saturday, with five Lions sent to hospital in total.
Jenkins has a broken cheekbone and Jones dislocated his shoulder.
Brian O'Driscoll (concussion), Jamie Roberts (wrist) and Tommy Bowe (elbow) are all doubts, but Ronan O'Gara should be fit despite a deep cut near his eye.
Head coach Ian McGeechan confirmed the Lions would not be calling up any replacements. Jenkins was injured in a clash of heads with Springboks winger Bryan Habana while Jones left the field at the same time, forcing the introduction of uncontested scrums, after being taken out by Bakkies Botha.

    Rough stuff.

The bull will surely get a run-out in the second tes now? earlsy aswell?

If anything is a reason to scrap the Lions (something I don't agree with) this is it.

The injury count at the end of a staggeringly long season is frightening.

My Team for 3rd Test if props, BOD, Roberts and Bowe are out

    15. Kearney
    14. Monye
    13. Earls
    12. D'Arcy (will probably be Flutey)
    11. Fitzgerald
    10. Jones
    9. Phillips

    1. Sheridan
    2. Mears
    3. Vickery (would prefer Hayes, but that won't happen)
    4. Shaw
    5. POC
    6. Croft
    7. Wallace
    8. Heaslip

    16. Rees
    17. Hayes
    18. DOC/Hines
    19. Williams
    20. Ellis
    21. Hook
    22. Flutey

You would seriously still have ROG on the bench ahead of Hook after yesterday?
He looked fairly battered coming off the pitch, and his performance won't have done his confidence any good. Don't reckon he will get near the 22 next week.

ROG did have a shocker, but i still think he's done enough on tour to be picked ahead of Hook on the bench. That's provided the injury he recieved isn't performance affecting. A lot of people felt he should have started the second test.

He should have started the 2nd test but didn't .. however i still think hook will get the nod ahead of him for the 3rd, just because he is bigger and offers something different

Saying O Gara should have started the 2nd test is rubbish. Anyone who has followed game and his career knows the guy cant tackle, never has been able to. This is nothing to do with his courage, its simply a technique issue. The only people who wanted him to start were wearing green glasses. Jones missed one kick in first test and knives were out for him. ROG is not good enough at the very highest level of international rugby as was displayed on Sat.

I'd say Earls has no chance of starting centre to be honest, it'll surely be Flutey and D'Arcy. He should be on the bench though.

I think Williams will probaly start in place of Wallace. John Hayes seems to be intent on continuing his reputation as the worst Lions tourist of the professional era so I'm praying that Vickery is fit to play.
