Myself and a friend are thinking of heading off for the day but wondering what to do and where to go etc...

What would you do on a day like today from 1:00 onwards? Think of anywhere in this isle or even in this county...

Out of ideas for some reason, shooting or anything isn't good unless there's a good few going...

I would go to a mountain and live the rest of my life as a nomad. As I am at work today this is not possible.

Read somewhere before you can do survival weekends, sounds good. Not ideal for spur of the moment though.

I've had a hankering to go to the Cliffs of Moher and Allewee caves recently. Probably trying to relieve my childhood!! So if I had the money I would probably head over to Clare.

Go climb Croagh Patrick, it's good fun, doesn't take too long and you meet loads of tourists too.

You'd be surprised how many people accept a free tour, myself and a mate done it one year as a Social Studies project.

Americans tend to tip as well :pac:

well funnily enough Ihave done this a few times (3 times) with foreign people, well one group were welsh but the others were Norweigan and then one Polish, but I suppose he was a friend of a friend so maybe I shouldn't count him...

It's an interesting idea that will be brainstormed before making the vital final decision...

Ever been to Kilmainham Goal? (Suprising the amount of people who haven't!) do yourself a little history tour around the City today, stop of at a couple of notable pubs along the way?

Failing that, Bag O Cans and the beach (remember your sunscreen!) :D

Hire a boat and go fishing with a few beers. With the weather like it is you couldn't have a more relaxing day

Go to Dun Laoghaire and walk the pier, safe in the knowledge you can sit down and enjoy a nice cone from Teddy's at the end of your walk.

    or

Walk Three Rock and retire to Johnnie Fox's for a roadside pint afterwards.

Travel home to Donegal and relax with a cheap pint and non-outrageously priced everything. Then go explorer the #1 peninsula in Ireland: Inishowen :D

+10000 to that! Kilmainham Gaol is actually a great place to visit, the tour guides are great and you get to learn loads in a fun way!

Also, go on the Viking Splash. So cool, and then Dublinia and Christchurch.
