I currently have an 02 mobile internet dongle that I connect to my laptop to go online.

I am signed up to a student offer and pay 13 euro a month for a 10gb allowance.

My question is can I put the sim card from this into an iphone as use it to go online without incurring any charges?

And another noob question, if I may thread-creep a little: when you upgrade to a 3GS at the end of the contract, do you keep the 3G as you would with the old-fashioned phones?

Shouldn't be any problem with that. I'd would advise though to pop the sim into the phone, browse a few pages, take it out again and check online after a day or so to see if any unusual charges appear.

Wow dude, I did not know I could do that, thats freaking amazing news, I'm delighted, and good advice to double check they don't charge.

Make sure you configure the iPhone with the same APN name for data as the dongle uses on your computer, or you may find yourself with a shocking bill at the end of the month.

    thank you,
