They had them on sale a few years ago, pink yellow and orange flourescent/neon highlighter coloured electric guitars. I've been trying to figure out what brand and model they were, but no luck. Can anyone help me out?

Also, yes, I am aware that they're a ridiculous colour... but I have a fetish for neon yellow (even sprayed my amp that colour) and I can't afford a desert yellow jem so...

    Switch guitars:

Never played one but a lot of people seemed to think they were quite decent.

Edit: Also worth noting there's a new budget yellow Ibanez which might be right up your street:

    AFAIK they were Lag guitars.

I have one of those Switch guitars. It's made of Vibrocell  Very nice playing neck. Good tuners and bridge, wiring and pots a bit dodgy. The buckers are too hot and it's slightly neck-heavey. Made in China. Pretty good value AFAICR.

The colour on my one is not too bad.
