    Hey

I was let go there yesterday and am just wondering about what benefits i can claim. I am 23, and was working full time in the place for 8 months, had moved there from another job. I've gone into the social welfare office and applied for job seekers benefit, which they say im entitled to. Does anyone know roughly how long the wait is for this, they also said to come back for an interview. Does anyone know why they do this? and what they ask etc?

Also I'm currently renting, does anyone know anything about rent allowance, every time i try to ask someone they always say its a case by case basis, but I was just wondering who they usually give it to, and how long it takes to get it etc? And what the max is they give?

Does anyone know any other benefits i can claim for other than the medical card?

Thanks a million for your help in advance!!

    Have a read of this.
Normally an interview is only for Jobseeker's Allowance and not Benefit though.
