Personally I would have never just coz of ickyness but last week when I saw the OH I said (jokingly!!) 'there is no point in coming up next week coz I have my period so we cant have sex' he was like ehhhhhhhhh why not?? being deadly serious! he said he doznt mind at all... I woulda thought most guys would have run for hills at the thought!! But seeing as I only see him every 2 weeks, maybe every week if im really really lucky I figure its gonna happen at some stage.......

Jesus i nearly fell off my chair when i read the post title as i had just that chat with my fella this morn! We indulged last nite and i didn't realise i came on during sex, so i have a mini meltdown thinking he's going ''eughhh'', but he doesn't!!:eek:

Soooo, we talk about it and while i agree wholeheartedly i am rampantly horny durng my period,tis not gonna be a regular occurence and he was cool about it!

Oh the mess in the bed would bother me all right, but yeah, as Moonbaby says, the libido goes into absolute overdrive during it (and just before it)... and the sex is spectacular. My solution? The shower.

To be honest it depends on you and what your period is like. I wouldn't not have sex just because you have your period full stop. If you have a good understanding of how your period goes it helps. I know this might sound mad but let me explain from personal experience!
My period is heavy days 1 and 2 and sex is messy and a bit sore so I don't try it now. However, my period stops for a few hours end of day two (I dont know why it just does) and its grand. I wouldnt abstain from sex when you have a "bit" of a period: if its at the end or light it is fine , only problem- bar the "backwash" being discolored but you can be discreet about this!:o What I mean is if you want to, he wants to, don;t not do it because it's weird or icky, it's not

I'm not big on sex when I'm having my period (well, for the first two days anyways)

I'm bloated, having terrible anxiety about how terribly ugly and fat I am (hormones do weird things to mirrors ) and not one lease bit interested. Also, I've not known sex to help with cramps for me it makes them worse not better!!

I just had a thought there and when I was on the pill I used to get very horny right before my period. That seems to have gone away now that I'm no longer on any hormonal contraception. I do get very horny when I'm ovulating though.

no my OH never had a prob with having sex when i have my period but yes i do like to leave it a day or two when it's a bit lighter. never noticed being horner or having better sex when i have my period but now that i have heard about it i may take it into concern next time.

no they are really flexible, they're disposable menstrual cups. Alternatively you can try using a diaphragm works pretty much the same way.

Have had sex on period couple of times when I was dating a guy I only saw every couple of weeks. First time it happened I stopped him and told him I had my period and he asked why that mattered. I said "don't you find it gross" Him "eh no, why would I?" Clothes off, into bed, never thought about it again.

Yes I have had sex while on my period....at that time of the month I get incredibly randy. I dont know about anyone else but Its like your body is extra sensitive or something and sex can actually be a lot more intense.

I've never had a problem with this, and never been with a guy who did have a problem with it. I'd like to think I wouldn't mind if a boyfriend was all "eww, period, unclean", but it would probably piss me off!!

Used to think I didn't mind it until I discovered the blood clot thing. Never knew about that before until it landed on my stomach! Freaked me out completely made me gag and the girlfriend was totally not impressed. We both got over it though.
