    Just watching the episode on bbc tonight. Anyone know why omar burns himself with a cigarette. Is it because he is sad because his friend died? or was it so he could act emotional and make himself tear up in front of his crew?:confused:

    Anyone care to enlighten me

    ah I forgot about this, I will wait with you for the answer;

    can you answer this question while we wait?
    does Carver's face get much fatter in season 5, and if you agree, any idea why, it looked to me like he must be ill or on steroids.

    I thought he was going for a kind of self-flaggelation vibe...

    Great scene. He put out the cig in the palm of his hand with guilt 'cause
    one of his gang (female) got killed in a shoot-out when they raided a Barksdale stash house
    .

    Maybe the guy playing Carver put on weight for another acting role. Cant say i particularly noticed TBH though i'm quite tempted to flick on season 5 just to see now:D

    HAHAHA, maybe he just got fat?

    Yes, I think he just got older and fatter. No mystery.

    In the second photo he is laughing so his face looks fatter. In the first one he is serious.

    I see your point but it was the only photo I could find,
    I noticed it with the entire 5th season

    but maybe its no big thing.

    That's another thing, I don't want to go off topic too much but does anyone find if you've watched too much of The Wire you have to fight back the urge to talk like this. :o

    Yeah I've been watching an ep every night since I got the box-set and a lot of Baltimore slang has sneaked into my vocabulary (and not all of it is polite either!).

    Or say "we don't roll like that no more" instead of "we don't do that anymore".
