Sweating Problem

    Hi,

I've a strange problem and I hope someone on here might be able to help me find a solution.

When I'm nervous, particularily when people are looking at me, I sweat profusely. It doesn't happen all the time but when it does it's really noticable and really embarrassing. I'm not imagining how bad it is because people have remarked about it and I'm not exagerating either because beads of sweat will be running down my face and my clothes will be soaked.

Does anyone know how I can stop this or any techniques to distract me from having these nervous thoughts that cause me to sweat?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I believe Botox is very effective in paralysing the sweat glands, and there is surgery to sever them permanently if that doesn't work. First call should be to your G.P. to look at the options.

Dri-Clor works amazingly well, you get it in a chemist and just put it on every night before bed. The only problem is, if you've sensitive skin, it can make it a bit itchy but that'll disappear straight away once you wash it off.

Mitchum is another good one just to use as ordinary deodorant, especially the roll-on.

As for the sweaty face, I'd say maybe invest in a good oil-free foundation or powder? It won't cure things altogether, but it might help. Also toner might help, just make sure your skin doesn't get too dried out either!
