    Is there a cycling equivilent to a marathon distance i.e 26 miles apprx

    should be a big long thread on it if you search, i think the long/short of it was that it was an apples to oranges comparason due to the impact nature of running/non-impact of cycling.....

    I think the main difference is that cycling is fun, whereas running is not.

    ;) Of course it is.... Training is fun ... the sport seems irrelevant to me. 19 km run last week almost killed me..... got up and cycled the next day no problem.....

    25m TT last week killed me.... got up the next day an got the train....


    You can't compare them at all...... Pain is pain and if you don't get any train harder and if you still enjoy it train harder..

    .... I dread to think of what a 100 mile TT would feel like....

    A buddy of mine ran 95 miles non-stp in Scotland at the weekend. I wonder what the cycling equivalent of that is?!
