I bought a new desert eagle mag last week, filled it up with gas and it wasn't holding the gas, i tightened the screw in it and it stopped the leak but it doesn't seem to want to hold much gas.

When i fire it with gas in it, it fires too much gas out and 2 bb's unload aswell, when it fires i can see alot if gas coming out of the top of it. It only manages to fire about 10 bb's and the gas is gone.

Does anyone know what the problem is?

    Thanks.

Are you filling the mag when it's upside down?

I have the tm version and it leaks up near the top somewhere. i think its getting past the big o ring that goes around the part of the mag which holds the floating valve.
You should here the leak right around the plastic part that pushes up the slide catch.

    Hijacking my thread, shame:p

I have the TM one, the origional mag is great not a bother with it, i get about 35 BB's with a 10 second fill.

got the new one from mia, don't know what make it is though.

there is a noticable difference when filling the new one, the new one seems to have a hard time taking in gas and its hard to tell when its full.

Hold in the striker valve with your finger while spraying gas into the hole where it comes out from, let it move around and then try gasing it again. a lot of TMs dont seal very well with most gas canisters and theres a lot of wastage around the edge of the valve. you can solve this by sticking in a really small oring, it usually takes about 25-30 seconds of filling and it should fire a whole magazine.
The fact that you have said it fires 2 bbs at once could also mean you have a broken loading muzzle.,
