iPhone App Developer Required

Last night I dream't of an iPhone app and this morning after some research, have found that said app doesn't yet exist.

I am a 40 year old Art Director who has been using Macs ever since they were invented (plus I have an iPhone) - so I'm pretty savvy with the platforms.

I am looking to profit share with a developer who has proven experience and success with producing iPhone applications.

I am also wary of sharing my idea with just anybody, so any tips on how to do this the right way would be appreciated.

    Cheers!

The first thing you should do is check the App Store to see if it's been done already. If not, then you could be in business.

I think Vinny Coyne is your best bet. He's based in Ireland and his apps are very well made and popular.

I'm a developer myself (I developed Jelly SMS - http://www.jellysms.com) but I also have a full time job so don't have time at the minute. Feel free to ask me questions though and I'll give you some direction no probs...

    thanks alot.

I've mapped out a pretty good visual plan of what it's meant to do.
I'll shoot you an email and bounce a few ideas off you if that's ok.

Is the development side of things really that complicated? It's something I've been thinking about too.

It's not too difficult really, I guess the only issue is having to pick up Objective-C and the frameworks that are used.

If you have a reasonable background in C and/or some knowledge of object oriented programming you should be ok. There's a lot of on-line tutorials, discussions and help available.

Chipping in with the willing to help out / discuss with any potential developers. I have a full time job also, iPhone development is more of a hobby really.
