I got a packeage from my [ex!] in Germany there a few weeks ago, a romantic poem and a tie and a t shirt

the t shirt had a pic of a monkey holding dynamite and blowing up his other arm or something like that with the words

    Im a slow learner

    emblazed on it..!

So, she said it was a joke and I can take plenty of jokes, but i found it a bit childish and immature [Im at the wrong end of 30, not 13].

The whole idea of sending a t shirt would be for it to wear i mean and this is not something I would wear.. [by a far stretch of the imagination]

    would i be right?

We have since then pretty much hit a dead wall and she says in just a moody, jerk.

which is a bit rich coming from a girl who had outstanding pms moments

anyway, what do ye guys think.?

It obviously wasn't genuine if she sent something that silly, so I would dump
    it!

Use the t-shirt to clean the bathroom or polish your car.
What's the benefit of exchanging gifts with an ex, especially if they're in
Germany and you can't pop round for the usual post-pub bonus shag.

    is she hot?

she is thai! and before ye go insluting her she is quite smart, speaks loads of languages, and earns quite a bit also as she is a lawyer.

I spoke with her earlier, about this t shirt... lol

she sent it tongue in cheek... [eer]

seems im overly sensitive to such things.

    and no, im not chinese.

as for grammAr i couldnt give a fluck its not like a few mistakes make the sentence incomprehensible.

    duh

A real one-armed dynamite holding monkey would have been better. Should've been fairly easy to find one of those in Thailand.

    "Roses are red,

    I'm a Schizophrenic
    and so am I"

    Woah woah woah.

OP: I don't understand. Your ex was nice, sent you a t-shirt & other stuff for your birthday and you're upset because you don't like the style of t-shirt, so assuming it was a more 'mature' t-shirt you'd have accepted and liked the present?

Cop on dude, it was a present - accept it for what it is.

I can take that t-shirt off your hands if you want...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,793 ✭✭✭✭Hagar

What did you want for your birthday that you didn't get?

I'd love a new t-shirt, a t-shirt with a monkey on it, even a one armed monkey, would be a bonus.
You just can't please some people.

Could have been a lot worse, she might have sent you an Everton jersey.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,465 ✭✭✭MOH

Would have been better if she'd sent you a monkey with a T-shirt on it. Especially a cappuchin monkey. Could have sold it on buyandsell. (Whatever happened with that thread?).
