compressed (zipped) folders

    hi i am trying to open a folder of the above heading but when i use the wizard i get message saying no files to extract but i know there are files in it can any one help or know what is best way to solve this thanks in anticipation

    Sometimes this can happen if the zip hasnt been downloaded fully or is corrupt.

    I know with Win Rar you have a repair option which has worked for me in the past and recovered some of the files.
    Im sure WinZip has one too.

    have you tried using 7zip?

    also, did you download it? sometimes tar.gz files get saved as *.tar.tar by the web browser, if not renamed to original, it will appear corrupted.
