lettuce flowers

    Hi All,

    I read on the web that once lettuce flowers its gone by its best. Is this true? For me its all my rocket plants.

    I think its called bolting and whilst it has gone over it may still be edible. I think both Spinach and Rocket willbolt especially if they are in full sun, I find a half shaded area is best but I'm no expert.

    The hot weather will cause your rocket to flower, it is still edible. becomes much stronger in taste though. May salad leaves eg Lettuce, rocket etc do tno like to much heat, recommedn succesional planting every two weeks, eat young, plant in shaded spot and water well
