    Hey everyone!

I'm looking for a cheap holiday for two in Europe. We're hoping to go soon, but are finding that things are really expensive and if ryanair doesn't fly there there just seems no point money wise. We want some culture, sun and a beach would be a bonus.

We were thinking of Zadar in Croatia but we've been hearing mixed reviews. Anyone ever been there? Can it sustain a student/tourist for a week of fun?

Or anywhere else that fills the bill, of sunny, beachy, city holiday.

Though we're beginning to compromise on the beach.

Thanks a million of you can help!:D

zadar itself doesn't have a beach, there is a good sandy beach about 10-12 miles north of zadar called Ninska laguna

there are four national parks (plitvice, Paklenica, krka waterfalls, Kornati Islands) within easy drive of zadar, you would need a full-day to see EACH park, so yeah there is plenty to "sustain a student/tourist for a week of fun" if you like the great outdoors, incredible scenery and mother nature at her finest
