    Hey Folks,

I just started taking some protein supplements the other day. I have been taking 2-3 9oz shakes a day. I am beginning to feel quite tired the last day or so which is not really like me. I'm wondering has anyone else ever experienced tiredness or fatigue from taking protein shakes?

It's not the shakes. It's probably just the weather.

I've noticed it before when taking a shake with a decent amount of sugar in it, I would always crash 45-60 minutes later.

I find If I overdo it on the protein I get tired from not enough carbs.
When are you taking the protein?

I know I'll get given out to for saying this but you do need to eat carbs.
    especially if your exercising

I would have a look at your water intake. If you have drastically raised your protein intake recently, you'd want to do the same with your water. I imagine you're probably drinking a lot because of the heat anyway, but you'll still need more.

    Screw carbs.

Thanks for the replys guys, yes my water intake is massive as im living in the desert and there are pallets of the stuff everywhere so i always have a botle in my hand. The protein shakes i am taking 2 a day, each one is 9oz. One before my workout and 1 after.
The thing is my workouts are in the morning time before work so i only get about 30-40 mins of weights and exercises. Is this enough exercise for the amount of protein that im taking?
