I am sure that I was not alone last week to hear that Mr McMahon was "selling" Monday Night Raw and I waited until the show began to see if Trump would show up and do the launch himself.

    Where is this going?

Thats what i was wondering. Ive missed the last few weeks of raw, so perhaps ive missed something, but Im watching Tonights now.
perhaps they will utilise him as a kind of on-screen authority figure as there is no raw GM as far as i can see

Guys, i'm all on for a seperate thread for discussion here.
    But PLEASE use spoiler tags!

Either that or take it to the RAW thread.
    Thanks.

    Trump now kayfabe owns Raw.

however you do bring up a good point about where this is going because you have to imagine this time next year Storyline wise (as that is the only way he does anyway)Trump wont own Raw, Most likely Vince will again but how will it go down.

id advise you add spoilers within to the thread title

I've edited out the spoilers, we don't need 2 RAW discussion threads though, do we? :)

true but i can see people wanting to talk about where the trump angle is going, as i said he obviously isnt going to be the "Owner" of Raw for good and this thread is bound to have people talking about what trump does on each new Raw.

    but your da boss :pac:

Simple rule, use spoiler tags. Failure to comply will end up with this entire thread merged into the RAW thread.

    Simple as.

My most humble of apologies Shawnraven.
I didn't think at all that there would be a tomorrow audience! Sorry again.
But, in fairness this thread was not about tonights show but how this story line is going to pan out for the length of time that it exists.
I am sure that we can hold a discussion about the storyline without spoiling future viewing.
If you think that the thread will spiral into a reveal thread by all meand close it now. Myself, I just want to see what other wrestling fans think and how they think this ends....
    Cheers...

I'm sure we can too, thats why i want to leave it open. :)
Ah to hell with it... i'll make this easier by editing the title, and let common sense rule out.

My own thoughts are that this Trump ownership puts a degree of seperation between potential returns to the WWE for wrestlers that have issues with Vince and others in creativity.
Also, what type of safeguards must be in place to ensure that a future "wellness" scandal does not taint the name of Donald Trump?

nice common sense = what i said

Im guessing from what has happened so far with Trump/Vince that McMahon may begin to regret his decision to sell up and we will have WM from a few years ago all over again Trump vs McMahon perhaps with McMahon getting hands on on SD and using SD stars vs Trumps Raw stars.

I don't think it is over - the smack he gave Vince will add some more to the story line, maybe they'll have a match at WM....

I really pray you're wrong, another 8 months of this isn't what's needed.

Ya, I am all for slow builds to a great WM pay off, but does Vinces ego need such a long massage by having him centre of attention in a feud with a non wrestling guy who is just famous for being uber wealthy?

Add this to the farce that was Trippers return a few weeks ago, and it is really making Raw a must miss TV show.

It was probably meant to go on much longer but when the share prices dropped last week because some silly people couldn't tell the difference between storyline and the real world I'd say the decision to scrap it was a fairly quick and easy one.

so nowhere by the looks of it....

    Shame... Coulda been something special...

In fairness to the people who thought that it was real, WWE and the USA Network sent out a press release saying that it was real. You can't expect someone who knows nothing about wrestling to know what's really going on there, and the SEC are looking into whether any action should be taken against them for what they did

The show got a 4.5 rating, which is way up which I think proves that a lot of people tune out when the ads come on and don't turn back
