    Hi all,

I need to get a new battery for my M1330.

I've been looking on ebay - there's genuine dell ones for around 80-90 bucks and generic ones for 40ish.

Am I ok to get a generic ones or are dell branded ones much better?

Generic batteries for the XPS M-series can be shoddy, and potentially dangerous. Ive seen them, and would avoid.

Try black-cat2 on ebay, ive bought a Dell battery off him and it was genuine and a reasonable price. Looks to have a few M1330 batteries currently.

That's great - thanks for the advice.

I just bought a 9 cell - as far as I remember it sticks out from the system but hopefully it'll be worth the extra battery time!!

When I get the battery should I leave the laptop turned off with the battery charging 24 hours or can I use it straight away?
