    hi all
not sure if i have this in the right place (feel free to move it)

i fell and fractured my fibula and tore all the ligs and tens in my ankle 3 months ago, a week after i got an operation to help hold the bone in place (a screw straight through my ankle)
3 months on i still have the screw in my ankle, the fracture still hasnt healed and i still cant walk
i was in the hospital on friday and the doc said i have to go to navan to get the screw taken out and then i will be able to walk again maybe 4 weeks after,

the problem is - there is a 4 week waiting list for navan hospital

the thought of another 2months not walking is really annoying me i have a 1 year old to look after and its really hard, shes stuck in the house monday to friday because i cant bring her anywhere - i hate that its affecting her too, as well as that im putting on a lot of weight sitting on my ass this long

can i change hospitals even though drogheda have been looking after me from the start, and has anyone ever heard of anyone with a fracture like this for this long 5 months is a very long time not walking

any thoughts would be great - thanks

do you have a wheelchair at your disposal?

maybe you could borrow one from the irish wheelchair association, and together with a friend, could take the kiddo to the park sometime for some fresh air - it'd be good for you to get out of the house as well :)
