    Hi all,

Looking into a 1 series BMW 1.6 petrol ~<40K km on the clock. ES or SE, 2008

Anyone got any guidance on what is a fair price to pay for this car? Not looking to trade anything in for it, and looking to buy from a dealer only.

    Any and all suggestions welcome.

No, sorry. Just looking at what others are thinking of in general for a car with that sort of spec.

they're not exactly popular, anyone given the choice would import a 118d instead and get the low road tax and something resembling performance

118d either se or m-sport would be the best. M-sport is very firm though but would be most desirable model secondhand. I've seen some english imports for low twenties in a local dealer, i'd imagine doing it yourself would make a decent saving on that

Get a diesel one, 118d or 120d with FSH. The 1.6 petrol is gutless.

Also isn't there a 116d out now with extremly low emissions and hence low tax and nct.
