Not sure if this is in the right place, but I've been getting a twitchy left eye the past few weeks that occurs now and again. Any ideas what it is? Initial searching suggests its due to stress related issues, but I dont think I am too stressed over anything.

I had this for a while a few years ago. Just went away. Don't think it is anything serious.

i had it for a two month period. reckon it was a combination of stress(even though you might not feel stressed) and too much time in front of a computer screen.
IF you happen to be sending a lot of time in front of a screen, take breaks every 45 mins and focus on something far away and preferably outside.

mine just went away without any real warning.

I get this regularly when I'm pretty tired. Are you getting enough sleep and not sitting up too late?

Its probably the latter then. I work in an Internet Cafe so I'm in front of a screen for more than 12 hours a day.

I get it too and it's only when I'm tired. Get plenty of good sleep (ie. the hours before midnight are "apparently" better) and hopefully sleep through the hours of 4 to 7am when you're in your deepest state of sleep.

Its probably that too. I work late enough and dont normally get to sleep til about 2 or so, but I get my 8 hours or so sleep a night. Thanks for the help

I got that too and saw a docter over it.

They said it was tiredness and I would agree. Was working long, long hours for weeks on end.

They also said eating bananas may help, something to do with potassium levels.
Take regualar breaks from my screen if you can OP, though not that easy in your job

    +1 on the banana suggestion.

I've had it now for 5 weeks or so. And it's the most annoying thing ever.

It's self perpetuating in that it stresses me out much more then I may or may not have been. I'm infront of 2 computer screens 9 to 530 mon to fri and then at home i play ps3 a fair bit and watch tv so I think a good holiday will sort me out. I slept well last night and it's only been at me for about a half hour this morning.
Sleep like mad and it will go away.

It's most likely nothing but a quick visit to your GP should allay any fears you may have.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
