Anyone have any news on this, only heard about it recently about a 50m pool being built in UCD. when will be open? will it be open to the public? any other details?

yeah its being built near where the student centre is located as far as i know. when it will be finished is another story - its always hard to put an accurate timeline on these things, but hopefully it wont be too long a wait.
i can only assume it will be open to the public, just like the gym is - otherwise they wont make any money.

looking forward to it as its right on my doorstep!
