Anyone been to Zadar and travelled to Plitvice lakes?

Wondering about buses to and from?

We arrive Wednesday night and hope to hit Plitvice on Thurs?

    Any suggestions?

a number of buses leave each day to plitvice from the main bus station in zadar, the park is on the route from zadar to zagreb but not all buses going to zagreb stop at plitvice

warning this timetable may be changed when you arrive in croatia so check at the main bus station day before you are planning on going http://www.akz.hr/EN/voznired.aspx

Paklenica national park is another must-do, its only about 1 hour from zadar by bus and buses leave every hour from the main bus station and return again every hour outside the park

Thanks Rossie, we ended up renting a car as the group tours didn't run regularly and the Zadar-Zagreb bus won't stop if its full so we didn't want tto chance it.

Rented a car and drove up using SatNav!

Plitvice is a definite MUST SEE!!! I've never seen anything like it!
Though I would get there early to see the whole park.

I would also advise to stay away from the main restuarant at entrance 1, over-priced and disguisting!
Maybe pack a picnic, use one of the fast food restuarants or one of the hotels along the way!
