Just replaced logic board in 4th gen Ipod, wont connect, no image.

Just replaced the logic board on a 4th gen Ipod (classic line) It wont connect via USB. There is no picture. The HDD spins. Front buttons work. Anything I should be doing otherwise? All connected ok from what I can see. Battery is fine. Nothing like the original fault. Faulty board maybe?
