a bit optimistic calculator if you ask me :D. Mine clk200 00' had value of 12k on it :D lololol

If someone would offer for it 5k i would give to then and kiss theyr hands for bye bye :D

Your price isn't overly optimistic but the lower the better. Nowadays with the internet advertise low and give no discount not even €50....3950

    On presentation

Lose the seat covers and papers in the door pocket hoover inside.

    Lose the Steering wheel cover

Replace the hub caps (small but signifcant)

Then take better photos in good light after car washed and polished glass cleaned inside and out and tyres dressed.

Lose the rare in ireland description and just say more desirable high spec Zetec model

Try and make your location sound more near Dublin Louth.. fives mins from M1 etc or 30 minds from dublin airport.
Stick it on donedeal €3 by text no credit card necessary
Fair play to you for not telling the fella with the 99 avensis swap to p*ss off

The car i bought yesterday for 4k was valued at 6,899euro :D

That makes me smile. Although mine has no tax or nct so i'm taking a risk but we'll see.

The cbg calculator is not accurate. All it does is take the average price of that model for that year being advertised on their site. If the most expensive one is overpriced then it bumps up the calculator's average price.

OP, there are a few cheaper similar models being advertised by dealers on carzone. They will include a warranty and more than likely drop a few hundred for a straight sale. I think you should be advertising it at below €4k to be honest.

Also some advice on your advert. I would take off the aftermarket steering wheel cover and seat covers for the photos. They are not to everyone's taste which could put off a potential buyer. Also give the car a good cleaning and try and take the photos on a day when the sun is shining with a nicer background. The way the advert is presented can make a world of different to a potential buyer.

Around the €4k mark would be right. Avg price in UK is £2.5k / €3k approx + VRT of €875 = €3,875. Advertise at €3,950 but take no less than €3.5k.

cheers folks, couldnt find one with same spec on carzone. theyre all finesse models which arent as quick and dont have fog lights or air con. like being honest i dont have the car that long (early february), not desperate to sell. just fancy a bigger car. i love its innocense (cnbt think of a better word) used to own an mg ZR, no doubt my fiesta would destroy it in a straight line and round corners, no1 expects this from a fiesta, not that she gets rallied. anyway cheers for the advice, think ill drive it for a few more months and sell for less then. not worth my while selling for under 4k at the moment

both 5 doors which are really common, went at lookin at a trade in. was offered 4200 off a 7 grand mazda 6. the guy has a 1.4 5 door in stock which the salesman described as a (granny mobile). Generally the 3 door versions go for more, might be just a rumour but its what ive heard
