Red spots on tongue

Well i'm just after finishing my leaving cert last thursday and was under a lot of stress. I also noticed about 2 months ago that i had red spots at the back of my tongue and swollen tonsills. Went to the doctor 1st time gave me penicillin, that didn't work. Went to the doctor a 2nd time advised me to get diafflam mouthwash, that didn't work. He also said that they were not too badly infected which i am happy to hear and i asked wud i need to have em out but only said if it happened every few years. I'm wondering could this have anything to do with stress over the leaving cert? Is this possible? I have started using honey and lemon to see if that will work, but I am not confident about it. Its really taking its toll to go away. Don't notice any difference after using all the medication and mouthwash. Please help!
