Advice on deleting hotmail

    I have been talking to people I dont want to talk to on msn messanger and over the next 48 hours will be deleting my hotmail account..Does anyoe know
    Can anyone take this email address after its gone from me?
    If so:
    Will all my contacts get deleted?
    Will accounts e.g.bebo get deleted?
    Will my in/sent box be cleared?
    Will my name be taken off other peoples contacts?

    If you delete your account, everything that's tied to that account should be deleted. However, afaik it will be possible for someone to take that email address.

    There's a time limit which you have to wait foebit to become totally inactive it's like 100 days or something. Yes it will all be deleted if somebody reregisters it and all the contacts will be gone. It won't go off other peoples msns but that won't matter because you will no longer be using it. I would personally block them an then delete them but it's up to you.

    Why dont you go on msn left click on the mouse and decide to delete and block them?

    There is no way for you to get off their list entirly unless youvask them all personally to remove you.

    Just block the people from contacting you! You can easily do this on msn messenger

    My friend 'deleted' his hotmail account, and it said he could not log on for 250 days or something or else that would automatically undo the deletion... but he really wants this account gone.

    how come he is still on his friends contacts list ? it feels like ages since he deleted, but his photo and profile are still there! he is afraid to log on, doesn't want to cancel 'the deleting' of it.

    What do people think? Is his account still active?anybody have the same problem?:(
