Hi Leesa. A friend of a friend did this course and finished a couple of years ago. He very much enjoyed it but said if he had to do it again he'd make sure to go to as many tutorials and lectures as he could. Also he had to be very disciplined about studying as it is a distance learning course. Good luck.

Thanks so much for the reply, im sure it may be hard to keep motivated especially since it is distance learning but hopefully i will stick at it, hoping to hear from anyone doing this course. Thanks again, Leesa :)

Hi Leesa, I'm thinking of doing this too - looks like an interesting course with quite a few opportunities at the end of it. What's madeyou think about doing it?

Hi Ya! I'm in Galway County - I'm thinking of doing this as I think it could break me into social worker opportunities and other stuff like that, Also a lot of jobs advertised are quoting Community Development - looks like there could be a lot of opportunities from it. I've 4 kids under 8 and took voluntary redundancy 2 years ago to stay at home and while I had a good job it was cos I'd worlked my way up within the comany without any formal qualifications. The baby will be starting school when this course is finished so time for me to go back to work then!!:o
