    hi looking for a good female gynaecolgist in cork and please say wheither you can go privately or do have to have a gp referral tryed finding one one but can't .thanks

    Not a 100% sure, but as with all specialists I'd assume you need a referral from your GP

    The list of names i could see on the Quinn site were all male gynaecologists.

    Maybe you could get some advice here.

    you will require a gp referral.

    your gp will also be able to advise on which consultant would be most appropriate for your particular ailment, as even within specialities different people have different areas of expertise.

    your gp would be best placed to advise you in this regard.

    sam34's advice is spot on. You need to engage with your GP again.
