As long as you play from the visitor tees it's not too long and I found the course to be generous and relaxing. I did, however, play in February, before the rough grew up so you might want to ask how long it is. I remember wide fairways, practically no trees and big greens. Only 16 to 18 are tough holes.
    Hope that helps

    hey ,

I played there on Thursday and i'm off 20 . I thought it was a fabulous course in great condition , but the rough is tough going . Our society was advised to play it as a hazard and penalty drop out !! Greens are lovely and fast and the course isnt too long off the yellow tees . There was a strong wind blowing which didnt help. If you deviate from the fairway at all there is little forgiveness . We had a high handicapper score 7 points on the day (wasnt me :) ) Anyway , I thought it was the toughest course I'd ever played and I've played heritage , druids glen and Pga national in the last year. Having said that the strong wind probably didnt help.

Enjoy it if you do go and I hope you get the weather !!!!

I played it Thursday evening with 3 mates and the rough was brutal.

The challenge tour was there the previous weekend so the rough was grown up nice and high.

Even the first cut was hard as the ball seemed to sink it.

We played it off the whites. If you keep it on the short grass the ball will roll
