    Hey
One of my friends were telling me that because ntl has a hugh roll of wire hanging from the side of my house that i should be able to get free tv from them , and if they dont i can tell them that i am cutting it off as it doesnt look very nice . . .
They need that wire hanging from my house so they can provide the service to my whole street . . .
Im in a corner house a the top of my street and it would cost them a lot of money to go around my home . . .

Its not just that there is a wire running through its that there is loads of it hanging from the side of my house. . .

    Thanks

Taking a service and not paying for it is technically free but its also technically theft.

What do you mean by this? I have the image of what you literally said. I big rolled up wire attached to your house. It sounds like it would look like crap. Any pictures?

I can't find it, but I'm pretty sure there was a thread about this recently here. OP had a selection of wires from his corner house branching off to serve all and sundry.

In the end I think he rang upc, they sent out someone to tidy up the work. They seemingly have perpetual right of way after installation. Watty i think was the man answering that question I think.

I think this might be the thread you're referring to.
