what would you do for the weekend? Bearing in mind that this weekend the weather isn't going to be great, but it's not going to be awful either.

(Food and necessities are taken care of)

Buy a book. Lasts longer than a DVD.

Do 'necessities' include alcohol? If not, bum it off a friend. In fact, head over to a friend's house.

Depends how fast you read and what book you can get for €3.

Considering you said food and necessities are taken care of and drink is obviously a necessity, throw the 3 euro on a horse race.

It implies a raised eyebrow dear not your two holes :P

There is plenty on in and around the city if a person can get that far.

Over the course of Saturday and Sunday, 20 and 21 June, Meeting House Square will be transformed into an urban meadow with a carpet of grass (wooo!) for people to get cosy on picnic blankets and be entertained for the day. Unusual place for a picnic, sounds like fun!

Some fire performers will mark the start of the Summer Solstice festivities with a breathtaking visual display of fire dancing and juggling at 4pm on Saturday evening, followed later at 10pm by an outdoor screening of Dead Poets Society.

I think we might cycle down to Salthill if the weather is fair, have a picnic on the beach with pb&j sambos and fruit.

We have enough for two ice cream cones after, if my calculations are correct :P Possibly even 99s!

"Well, I took a stroll on the old long walk
    Of a day -I-ay-I-ay
I met a chap and we started to talk
Of a fine soft day -I-ay-I-ay
And I ask you, bud, what's a fella to do
'Cause all I have is 3 euro.
And I knew right then I'd be takin' a Dutch Gold,
'Round the Salthill Prom with a Galway bud.

We were halfway there when the Dutch ran out,
    Of a day -I-ay-I-ay
And he asked me up to his flat downtown
Of a fine soft day -I-ay-I-ay
And I ask you, bud, what's a fella to do
'Cause we don't have any lager anymore...
So he took me to his flat and we had Jameson
And I was so pissed with a Galway bud.

When I woke up I was all alone
With a sore head and zero euro...
And I ask you now, tell me indeed
Do I really have zero euro till fcuking next week..."

Wow you all find the cheapest icecream!

OP - how about offering to babysit for someone tonight (thereby earning a few extra bob to spend tomorrow night instead)?

Or, find a café with free wifi, go at a non-busy time and loiter over a cup of coffee.

Find something solsticy (new word!) to do.

Go to the library, sign up, take books/DVDs - it's free!

Spring clean a room from top to bottom. Then come do mine ;)

Why dont you go into the town grab a fold up stool and earn a few bob on the street doing caricatures (sp) for passers by?
