European Equivalents to Prime Time

    I need names and channels for the equivalent of Prime Time in France, Spain,Netherlands,Poland and Italy?

    Any idea where I could get this?

    I am guessing the Public Service Broadcasters do a similar show to Prime Time.

    France 2
    ETV (spain)
    RTP (Portugal)
    RIA (Italy)
    STV (Sweden)

    Can't speak for the others, but Spain doesn't really have a Prime Time equivalent. There is a show on Tuesday nights on TVE2 (the second national channel) that covers current affairs, but in a very soft-soap way.

    Thing about European state channels is, they don't really have that much editorial independence. Unlike RTE and the Beeb, they're pretty much servile to the government of the day (witness RAI and the Berlusconi scandal).

    Therefore, there is little in the way of hard-hitting reporting/questioning of government politicians. Never really twigged that myself until a Spanish friend of mine mentioned it.
