Laptop not recognizing Camera!!

    Hi have a Finepix camera, which hasnt been a problem when downloading to my laptop!! until month ago!! plugged it in USB port to download new pics, and all of sudden it cant find camera!! I didnt get a CD for the camera with drivers on it, just told to plug it in and computer would find it!! This has been working for years up intil now!! I am lost,, tried finding the driver from finepix.. downloaded it, but still cant find camera!! any ideas please! :mad:

    A easy solution to this problem imo is buying a cheap card reader (making sure of course the reader supports the card type the camera uses, Ie xd, compact flash, SD, etc) and use that to copy the photos from the camera,

    finepix probably SD if recent - €2 shop has them
    if older may use XD or other


    check the camera mode as you can set it to be usb storage or a camera, the names for the modes vary
