Great idea. Put a machine that dispenses gold in an area where you'll have to go through a metal detector...

What a totally retarded and useless idea

They also feature numerous security features to prevent theft, including a camera.

High tech so, that will deter the criminals!

Imagine if you came along to by a bar of gold and there was a bar that didn't fall properly when some unfortunate ****er was there before you trying to buy one. Select a bar from above the one that's stuck and it should knock it down meaning you get 2 gold bars for the price of one.

Such a good feeling if that happens with crisps (getting 2 for the price of 1); imagine it happening with bars of gold!

Although saying that, the gold vending machines wouldn't be configured the same as food vending machines but that's totally beside the point.

Hmm...I thought there were regulations and limitations on the ownership of gold in Ireland? Does this get around that?

(Gold jewellry is OK obviously..but I was sure I heard there were limitations on other gold ownership).

Frankfurt Airport is possibly the most depressing place on Earth (and I've been to Athlone). This venture might liven it up a little (not really).
