How long does stuff stay on the sky+ box?

I'm told by people that stuff i record on my sky+ box is only available for 30 days and then it deletes itself.

Is it possible to see exactly down to the minute when a program will be deleted off my sky+ box?

Does toggling the blue / black "keep" button have an effect on this?

    Thanks

    I believe that to be bullsh!t. ;)

If the box becomes full and if the disk management is set to auto it will delete any recordings viewed and then start deleting the oldest recorded (unviewed) recordings. The ones marked as keep are not deleted automatically.

Your recordings have no time limit whatsoever so you can watch them whenever you want.

However the Sky Anytime does have a time limit, this is accessed by pressing the tvguide button and then by pressing the time limit.

It tells you how long you have to watch these programs but you can then save them to your own space and therefore keep them also forever.

    Hope that helps..

SKY Box Office recordings (special sporting events and first-run movies) delete themselves after 24 hours once viewed. If you don't view the programme I believe that it will stay in the planner for up to 7 days, but you're not charged if you don't view it.
Non Box Office stuff you've recorded stays in the planner until you delete it yourself or you run out of room ....

For the non box office stuff, the default setting is to delete old recordings automatically if the box is full. You should change the "Recording management" setting from auto to manual, then nothing will be deleted without you doing it yourself!
