Guys, am due to travel to Spain on Monday...

But my passport expires in November. Now I rang my travel agent and made sure it was ok, and she said yes, double checked it she said yes again.

But Im after getting the documentation..it states on it that the passport needs to be valid 6 months from date of return to Ireland

Does any one know if this is definitley the case? Rang holiday group, they couldnt answer, said ring the passport people, who only work 9am to 1pm..hence needing the answer asap as the only daY I can make the emergency trip to Dublin is tomorrow!!

    Help PLEASE!

Does anyone know if there is a any validity requirements on an irish passport when travelling to spain, for example, if i was to go in august 2009, but my passport expired in october 2009, would there be any issues on entry to spain at all? Some countries require a travellers passport to be within 3 months of expiring, some 6 months, but its very difficult to find out specifically what countries require what? please help.

I'm fairly sure you'll be ok. Ring the spanish embassey tonight. They have an answering machine that gives passport requirements. Also was coming home from spain recently and the girl in front of me, her passport expired that day

I'm sure it'll be on the website. I really think you'll be ok- the reason i know you can ring and check is cos i did it last year for my friend, and she was grand. But i understand why you'd want it confirmed. If you can't find it on the site let me know and I'll ring and check

Not a problem at all. You can travel right up to the expiry date within the EU
