Quick one to let you know that Éireman X is back (by popular demand if i can say that...) on the 27th Sept. Online entry is now open. www.eireman.org

The course will be slightly different.
    1) the swim entrance to transition will be coming in the back end through the trees. A path exists there that brings you to the far end of transition.
This means the sand at btm of hill will be a no cycling area. Most of you carried bikes across it anyway.... That eliminates a danger for swimmers coming across bikes.
The result of this makes a more straightforward out and in channel for the cyclists as they go and come from the beach.

    2) The 2nd dismount point is gone (the one before you cycle up the hill along the gravel (woodland road). The first Dismount point will remain as it has a steep slope (drop) to the right.

    3) All the other elements will be in play.

Entry is limited to 200. Considering that the first race had 140 entries - it may sell out fast....

First blood went to a Triathlete. We'll call this race: Éireman X - revenge of the Mountain Biker... (kinda sounds like a film)

    Hope to see you there

    Eoin

Have no fear on the mtn biking.... Anyone with a bit of cycling in the legs would easily get by.... :)
